Rugby union which is also referred to as a match is basically a game that involves two teams of 15 players each. This game is played with a ball that is oval in shape. It is a game that has an objective of scoring the most number of points. The games usually take approximately 80 minutes but there is an added time that is meant to cover for the wastage time and injuries incurred during the game.

This game is played in halves of 40 minutes each and is controlled by referees depending on the kind of game that is being played. If a game is professional, there are usually a number of referees that are controlling the game since there are those that are needed to make us of the replays on television so that they can help those on the field to make the ruling of the incidents that happen during the rugby match.

The points on this game are scored by making a try or a goal. A try is when the player ensures that he takes the ball on the other side of the goal line and grounds it. This is usually supposed to happen that the ball is on the ground while on the players hand at the same time. A goal on the other hand is scored when the player kicks the ball between the uprights and also above the crossbar’s of the goal post.

There should be at least 100 meters of the pitch between the in goal area that is behind each post and the goalposts and a width of 70 meters in the rugby union.
